Basic Instinct 2 Movie Story. The sequel to the blockbusting first BASIC INSTINCT movie covers the post-San Francisco criminal career of Catherine Tramell. Scotland Yard appoints psychiatrist Dr. Andrew Glass to evaluate her after Novelist Catherine Tramell is once again in trouble with the law. Catherine Tramell ( played by Sharon Stone ) relocates from San Francisco to London and she quickly finds herself on the wrong side of the law. David Morrissey plays a criminal psychologist assigned the task of evaluating her by Scotland Yard. She may finally have met her match in the psychiatrist.
